Yamamoto Nutrition ShuraKhan Pre Workout Review, will this per workout hit you like the karate chop to the face?
The product, which looks extremely powerful and premium comes for a medium supplements company and is made in Italy.
This pre workout offering promises to give you a decent amount of energy, pump, focus and strength. From first glance though we can see that it’s lacking in some key ingredients. Yamamoto Nutrition seem to have gone for quantity over quality.
Let’s take a closer look at this pre workout and see if it’s going to get you smashing the your workouts anyway.
Yamamoto Nutrition ShuraKhan Pre Workout Core Ingredients
There’s some good ingredients in here, with plenty of amino acids and some good energy boosters.
The ingredients profile looks pretty safe too, with nothing risky being added. There’s a few rooms for improvements and minor dosing issues.
It would have been good to see road tested ingredients like caffeine and l-theanine in here, just to give you the mental edge, but all in all this pre workout looks fairly solid.
L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine works by allowing the faster absorption of fatty acids into cells. This can lead to improvements in strength and performance and also has some effect for fat burning, handy if you are cutting weight.
Beetroot Extract
Due to the levels of nitric oxide, beetroot is a dependable natural source that can get you a fairly decent pump.
It has the added benefit of natural sugars too, which will mean you get a little boost of energy from it.
Beta Alanine
Beta alanine can improve strength if dosed right, however if you dose it too high you will eventually get very annoying side effects like skin itching.
It’s worth avoiding this in pre workouts if you are set on avoiding any unwanted side effects so you can give workouts 100%.
Cirtrulline
Citrulline gets you a pump. We like this to be the focus of any pre workout, The 500mg of it in this product probably won’t do a great deal on it’s own, however could allow for greater blood and nutrient flow when combined with the beetroot extract.
Creatine
Creatine improves strength, you should be looking to supplement this anyway if you are training. However ShuraKhan does offer a fairly reasonable 3g dose. Not bad.

Yamamoto Nutrition ShuraKhan Pre Workout Dose
As we said before, there are some dosing issues with this product.
It’d be good to see a greater dose of l-citrulline in here and completely remove the beta alanine.
Generally though the amount of most of these ingredients is solid and will deliver a fairly solid pre workout experience.
Yamamoto Nutrition ShuraKhan Pre Workout Side Effects
Itching. The beta alanine, even at 2000mg will most likely cause the annoying itching side effect you often get from a pre workout.
Often sold as the ‘pre workout working’, this side effect has ruined a fair few workouts for us, so we always try and avoid beta alanine because of it.
Yamamoto Nutrition ShuraKhan Pre Workout Taste
Orange. Tastes a little bit like a sour orange vitamin effervescent. Not the greatest but not the worst taste imaginable
Yamamoto Nutrition ShuraKhan Pre Workout Cost
£38.63 for 15 servings from yamamotonutrition.com. This is VERY expensive for a pre workout that does have problems with it’s dose.
You can get our number 1 pre workout for cheaper than this that has a clean set of ingredients and will give you a far bigger pump.

Yamamoto Nutrition ShuraKhan Pre Workout Review Conclusion
This is a fairly good pre workout. But there are too many ingredients and not enough focus on clean premium ones.
The cost is the next problem, it’s far too expensive for what you are getting.
Our last moan about it is the beta alanine, this will make you feel uncomfortable whilst training and is something you should be avoiding.
Our number #1 pre workout is cheaper, cleaner and has a more focused ingredients profile.

Some side effects and a heavy price tag keep this product from the number #1 spot.
