The mind muscle connection is crucial to achieve best results when lifting. Keeping a solid amount of focus and a positive mindset can only help achieve success.
When I saw the new MuscleTech pre workout built on this with it’s ‘neurosensary matrix’ I got excited.
The ingredients list in this pre workout looks pretty good, with a range of stimulants and a few cognition enhancers. Not as many as I’d have thought, but it’s good to see none the less.
The product looks and feels solid too, MuscleTech have always created dependable products.
MuscleTech Vapor X5 Neuro Core Ingredients
You can see the exact amount of ingredients that go into MuscleTechs Vapor Neuro, which is absolutely ideal for any supplement you’re buying.
More often than not some companies hide individual doses to fill a product with the cheaper less effective ingredients.
There’s a good amount of amino acids in this product, dosed well that will get you solid pre workout results. They’ve not gone overboard with the stimulants either, so you can safely double scoop without side effects.
Let’s take a look at some of the key ingredients in Vapor X5 Neuro…
We don’t really like this ingredient in supplements. Whilst you do get marginal improvements in strength, it comes with a horrible side effect.
Parasthesia. This is a very distracting and uncomfortable under the skin itching feeling. A little annoying that this is in here.
L-Citrulline increases nitric oxide uptake and will ensure a massive pump.
As your blood flow increases you also get increased nutrient delivery to muscles, again increasing performance.
L-Carnitine is good as it helps with breaking down long chain fatty acids for energy. Boosting athletic performance. Some studies have also found that at the right doses L-Carnitine can help with cognition.
Creatine at lower doses helps with cognition. Whilst you get good strength gains from 4+ grams, you’ll feel more alert with a dose like this.
The main focus of this neuro blend for us is the L-Theanine. This ingredient helps with the regulation of dopamine receptors in the brain.
This can have a calming, yet focused effect. When you combine this with caffeine you get what’s known as ‘smart caffeine’, a burst of focused energy.
You know what caffeine does! It increases alertness, metabolism and energy.
What’s good is that caffeine also works very well with the l-theanine as we have mentioned. This combination is essential in a good pre workout.
Yohimbe bark is another stimuant and works in a similar way to caffeine, just from a different source. This a solid addition.
MuscleTech Vapor X5 Neuro Scoops
You can safely double scoop this product with limited side effects.
The only thing to be aware of is the potential for some serious parathesia from the beta alanine.
You’ll probably want to tear your own skin off. In terms of everything else though, the doses seem pretty solid and are just short of what’s in our current #1 pre workout.
MuscleTech Vapor X5 Neuro Side Effects
You may experience some mild side effects from the caffeine and Yohimbe, but generally these will be softened by the l-theanine. These side effects will just be energy crashes and maybe the occasional headache.
You could also get the itching and tingling feeling quite heavily from the beta alanine, especially if you are double scooping.
MuscleTech Vapor X5 Neuro Review Conclusion
This is a dependable pre workout from a trusted brand. The doses seem to be pretty much nailed on in terms of ingredients and effects.
There’s a few ingredients in here that don’t fully have science on their side, but these are in tiny amounts.
The main annoying thing is that from the amount of beta alanine you’ll be subjecting yourself to itching side effects, which will be very strong if you are double scooping.
