Pas Nutrition AGF-1 Testosterone Booster Review

My Authour Box

Pas nutrition present their testosterone booster AGF-1. AGF-1 is an acronym for Anabolic Growth Factor. This supplement is designed to increase testosterone production, reduce cortisol secretion and increase receptor availability.

Pas nutrition is a UK based company who supply a number of football teams with supplements. This probably explains the fairly high price tag on this product. Initially, we are not too impressed with the ingredients in the product, it seems to be a little off dose.

Ingredients

D-Aspartic Acid (3000mg)

D-aspartic acid, or DAA as you will commonly see it called in supplements is the go to legal testosterone boosting ingredient. It’s essential to any testosterone booster and it’s good to see that AGF-1 delivers it. DAA is an essential amino acid and is produced in the testes.

Think of it as one of the major building blocks to testosterone itself. To avoid side effects you want around 2000mg of DAA spread through the day. AGF-1 delivers a very large amount in 2 doses of 4 capsules, and so could lead to some minor side effects.

L-Carnitine Tartrate (2000mg)pas-agf-1-ingredients

L-carnitine tartrate is generally used as a supplement to help with muscle recovery and as an enhancer of hormonal responses.

It’s thought that the reduction in muscle damage, and speeded up recovery could potentially lead to increased hormonal receptors available to bind with anabolic hormones.

Basically, more testosterone could be absorbed. However, there is insufficient evidence that this is actually the case.

Phosphatidyl Serine (600mg)

This ingredient is an amino acid that’s found in huge amounts in the brain. It is supplemented generally as a cognitive enhancer.

Research has also found that supplementing it can actually lead to reductions in exercise-induced cortisol (stress hormone), meaning your testosterone levels will remain slightly higher following any bout of intense training. It’s good to see this ingredient in AGF-1. (It’s worth noting the levels of cortisol reduced does largely depend on the individual)

Zinc Citrate (10mg)

Zinc is another great testosterone boosting ingredient. This trace mineral is something that is required for normal bodily function.

Zinc directly influences testosterone production by producing the luteinizing hormone, which helps with both testosterone and growth hormone. The amount of Zinc in this supplement is perfect hitting the 10mg RDA.

What’s the cost?

We are a little surprised at the cost of this supplement. AGF-1 will set you back £69.99 rrp. Whilst there are some good ingredients here for testosterone product and cortisol reduction, we really can’t see it being worth this heavy price tag.

In comparison, our number #1 testosterone booster is completely natural and supports testosterone production in far more ways than Pas Nutrition AGF-1. The cost of this one box is £39.00.

Pas Nutrition AGF-1 Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion

We do like the ingredients in this testosterone booster and as a product it is alright. But it could be so much more.

With the addition of Vitamin B6 for example you could greatly increase the absorption of Zinc and therefore increase testosterone production.

If you want a cheaper, more effective Testosterone booster you should be looking to purchase one of our top 3 testosterone boosters.
